Diet
Many-banded krait predominately feeds on small rodents, birds, and other reptiles, adopting an active foraging strategy. Adept at identifying and immobilizing prey, it often favors eating snakes, including venomous varieties.
Appearance
Many-banded krait is a medium-sized snake, sleek and cylindrical, with a smooth, glossy skin. It sports bands of black and white or bright yellow, which encircle its body. Its tail is short, tapering to a fine point. The snake's eyes are distinctly black, while its belly is typically white. There are no noticeable variations in appearance due to age, gender, or subspecies.
Behavior
Many-banded krait is a nocturnal, solitary creature, preferring to hunt and move around during cooler night hours. It exhibits a non-aggressive nature unless provoked, using its potent venom primarily for hunting prey. Its diet mainly consists of small mammals and other snakes. Unlike many snake species, it does not exhibit territorial behavior.
