 The Mount d'Ambre leaf chameleon (Brookesia tuberculata) is a diminutive chameleon from far northern Madagascar.

It primarily sports a muddy brown color that allows for effective camouflage in its natural habitat. There are no significant variations in appearance due to age, gender, or subspecies. Its most unique feature is the ornamentation of large, bony tubercles on its back and tail. 
   Behavior
 Mount d'ambre leaf chameleon is a solitary, nocturnal species prevalent in leaf litter. Its small size and brown coloration offer camouflage, aiding its survival. It is terrestrial, mostly spending its lifecycle on forest floors. The species is known for its 'freeze' behavior in response to threats. Direct social or territorial interactions are relatively scarce.
