Bronchocela cristatella, also known as the green crested lizard, is a species of agamid lizard endemic to Southeast Asia.

Green crested lizard is primarily insectivorous, feasting predominantly on arthropods. Its dietary staple includes various insect species such as ants, beetles and butterflies. Occasionally, this species also consumes small vertebrates.
Appearance
Green crested lizard is a long-bodied, medium-sized reptile with smooth, green skin. Males are typically brighter and larger than females, reaching up to 1 meter in length. Sporting a crested head and slender tail, green crested lizard's standout feature is its skin-changing capabilities, shifting colors with its surroundings. It also bears notable, pointed scales on its back and sides.
Behavior
Green crested lizard is a diurnal, arboreal reptile, mainly indulging in basking and foraging during the day. It's a sit-and-wait predator that catches prey by quick bursts of speed. While it's predominately a solitary species, during mating season, territorial males are known to display their colorful dewlaps to court females and intimidate rivals. They exhibit an atmospheric diving behavior to evade predators.
