Appearance

Measuring a robust 16-17 hands, the brandenburger displays a well-muscled and strong body, typical of warm-blood equines. Its dense coat most commonly appears as bay, black, chestnut, or gray, accompanied by a thick, often matching, mane and tail. Clear, alert eyes may vary between dark brown and hazel. Unique to this breed are their powerful hindquarters and broad, well-set neck. Aging may result in slight graying of the coat, particularly visible on darker specimens. Unusual for this breed are significant markings, though subtle distinctions such as small stars or socks may occasionally be observed.

Brandenburger is known for its balanced, even-tempered and agreeable personality. This breed typically exhibits a confident demeanor with rare signs of uneasiness or fear.
