 Boophis tephraeomystax is a species of frog in the family Mantellidae endemic to Madagascar. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forests, subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, moist savanna, subtropical or tropical moist shrubland, rivers, intermittent freshwater marshes, arable land, urban areas, heavily degraded former forests, and seasonally flooded agricultural land.

 Dumeril's bright-eyed frog is predominantly insectivorous, feeding primarily on small invertebrates. It notably prefers winged insects, particularly nocturnal moth species, which it hunts with remarkable accuracy in its nocturnal activities. 
   Appearance
 Dumeril's bright-eyed frog is a medium-sized frog with a slender body and smooth, translucent skin. Its predominant color is a distinctive light green, accented by dark green speckles and bright red eyes. The species exhibits little variation in appearance between genders or life stages, maintaining a consistent pattern throughout its lifetime. Notably, it has a thin, elongated snout and webbed toes, providing a unique silhouette amongst amphibians.

 Dumeril's bright-eyed frog is a nocturnal, largely arboreal species. It communicates using an intricate combination of visual signals and distinctive high-pitched calls. This species exhibits territorial behavior, demonstrating defensive postures towards rival males during mating season. Adapted to a forest habitat, its characteristic green colour aids effective camouflage.
