Nauta salamander's diet primarily consists of small invertebrates. Notably, its dining habits center around consuming insects, particularly ants and termites, supplemented by various types of arachnids.
Appearance
Nauta salamander is a petite salamander with a slender, elongated body shape and smooth skin. It sports a prominent dorsal stripe that contrasts sharply with its dark chocolate-brown body. Notable features include its lengthy tail, stubby limbs and extensive webbing between fingers and toes. This amphibian remains fairly consistent in appearance across gender and age.
Behavior
Nauta salamander is a nocturnal species, often found hiding under leaf litter during the day while they venture out to hunt at night. They exhibit solitary behavior, specifically during the non-breeding season.
