Description
The aspidoscelis maxima is a large lizard native to Mexico. The largest of all lizards within its family and the largest among Mexican whiptails, this lizard is found in sunny, rocky sites along streams and rocky hillsides. It hunts during the day and feeds on spiders, centipedes, termites, scorpions, and occasionally smaller lizards.
