   Appearance
 Red-spotted toad is a small-sized toad with a robust, oval-shaped body. Its skin is warty and mostly olive-to-brown with darker patches, giving it an ideal camouflage. A distinctive white stripe runs along the animal's back. It has a large parotoid gland behind each eye. No significant differences in appearance between genders, age, or subspecies have been reported.
