The pleasing poison frog (Ameerega bassleri) is a species of frog in the family Dendrobatidae endemic to Peru.

Pleasing poison frog's primary consumption consists of invertebrate prey, particularly ants and mites. Their ingestion of ants contributes to their potent skin alkaloids which play a defensive role against predators.
Appearance
Pleasing poison frog is a medium-sized frog with a slender body covered in smooth, moist skin. Its main coloration is bright green with black or dark blue spots on its back and sides. The color intensity and spots vary among individuals but not between sexes or ages. Its most distinctive features are the red stripes that run from its eyes to its hind legs and the vibrant yellow or orange hues found on its belly and legs.
