Appearance
The pehuenche spiny-chest frog is a medium-sized frog with a robust, round body. Its smooth skin exhibits varying shades of green and brown, often with darker blotches. Its large eyes are surrounded by a light periocular ring, offering a stark contrast. This frog's limbs are short and strong, ending in large, rounded toes. Distinguished by its flat head, the pehuenche spiny-chest frog also features a broad, downturned snout. It lacks any significant variation in appearance due to age or gender.
